At 4:34 p.m., I drive over to First Markham for a light lunch, since its midway to the proposed pick-up location. Afterwards, I swing by the Warden and 7 plaza to pick up Adri and were off.
On the way to Camerons, Adri and I chat about relationships (and how little I know) and she tells me a story about how she was caught in the shower once upon a time, until we pull into the parking garage at Lizs. We get there at around 5:30 p.m., and thereafter Amanda arrives. The lot of us chill in the living room and bullshit for a few minutes. Liz produces a bottle of ginger pills that were tested on Mythbusters; she then explains to us it will effectively remedy any of her motion sickness issues (and its also the SINGLE most powerful weapon in the Universe! I suggest we USE it!!). James shows up in his red ski jacket and make with a brief weather forecast for the cool night ahead, while Liz occupies herself with printing up some E-tickets from the Fear-fest site. Following that, the five of us cramp into my Corolla and cheese it.
We arrive at Wonderland about an hour later, and it is now goddamned nippy out. My passengers get out of the car and promptly zip up their Winter gears and shit, while I zip up my meager hoodie and march toward the front gate to rendezvous with Alex & Amanda (Lizs friends). After weve identified the pair from the crowd, we chit-chat for a few minutes, then I go to take a leak before conforming to the throng going in. James opts to stay behind and wait for his beloved before meeting us inside.
Once inside, Alex whips out his map and begins charting a course for the long haul ahead. First we hit the Asylum but the mad house is too packed. We opt for the
From there, we make out way back to peep the Asylum, but Adri opts out and decides its best for her to wait for us at the exit instead. On our way to the back of the massive line-up, Liz tells me shes gonna bring Adri in to hang with us while we wait, so she wont be left all alone. I agree. I tell her to stay with the posse, and Ill go retrieve her instead. By the time Adri and I head in, the group are already filing toward the entrance. I promptly try to slip back in line, but without success. A cute Wonderland staff pops out of nowhere and cock-blocked me, hence separating me from the rest of the group. Fuck it! I tell myself. Im curious about this house, and I have come so far not to go in. I shuffle to the back of the line and wind up meeting Cameron and the rest at the end. The Asylum has got to be the best haunted house out of the entire park. What can be more amusing than watching 4 people ahead of me dowse their drawers at every corner of the house?
With only an hour before Wonderland closes shop, we visit a few rides, and put those ginger pills to good use. I opt out on the last one (The wooden one that crushes kidneys), since Im already freezing in my hoodie and mildly dizzy from the last ride. So I head for the nearby Dinner to take a leak and warm up. By the time I head back to meet them at the exit, Liz is gasping for air trying to maintain herself from giving us a peek at her gastrointestinal goodies in front of the whole crew. After she has composed herself, we make our way back to the front gate and see each other off. Liz, James and Amanda ride with Rae, and Adri rolls with me.
En route, we stop over at Richmond Court to pick up some milk-tea, and then I drop her off at her house. I head back to my place, check email, shower, and fall asleep watching Trigun.
